Description

The ChimericSeq software is an automated user-friendly program intended for the detection of viral-host chimeric sequences from next generation sequencing (NGS) reads. The program builds upon the current software version with enhanced features such as batch processing, alignment length filtering, ability to modify various options and configuration settings, and intermediary file removal to reduce computing space.

The advanced Linux version comes with a preprocessing pipeline that includes adapter trimming, read quality control, and UMI consolidation. The pipeline contains proprietary alignment steps that have been optimized to maximize chimeric read detection.
